Well it’s 12:44a.m. on Christmas morning and I find that we are sitting here putting together one of Chris’ gifts.  We got him this Lionel railroad crossing bank and Matt had forgotten to put it together.  Hopefully it’s nice and easy.  I’m very tired and wanting to go to bed.  I have a long day ahead of me.  In about 21 hours we are leaving for Florida.  Before then we have to accomplish opening gifts, and having a massive dinner for a little family!
Today (well yesterday now) I celebrated my first communion with my first visit back to church in years.  I went to the Southpoint Community Christian church.  It’s a very nice place and not stuffy like a normal church at all.  You can dress how you want.  I certainly did… I work my ti-dyed airwalk shoes with jeans!  They have a nice band that plays.  It’s not an ordinary church but it gets the message across well.
We had ham for dinner and I made some homemade yeast rolls.  I had to rush to make them but they still came out well!!  We seen my uncle Kevin and Jan today.  They brought Chris and Andrew some nice tonka trucks.  Marie sent over a couple cool gifts for the boys too.
My cousin Scott and his wife Celeste and their kids showed up today after a year.  It’ll be a year in a few days that my aunt Sherryl died and they haven’t been around since.  It went well, but my grandma kept telling them how much of a terrible year she’s had.  It hasn’t been terrible as far as I know though.   They all stayed a while and talked which was good.  I wonder when they’ll see them again.  That’s the most family we’ve seen around in a long time.  Quite shocking.
Last night I hung out with Julie and Iris together for the first time in years.  Also it was the first time both of us had drank in a long time too.  I had fun and i’ll post some pics tomorrow (tonight) if I have time.  We just sat there and talked while Iris drank coffee and Julie and I had strawberry champagne.  It was good.
Yes well Santa Jen has finished her milk and cookies and i’ll leave my plate out for the morning.  Hopefully the dog won’t eat the crumbs, so that I can give it that real “eaten” appearance.  Santa likes oreos on occassion!
