Of course not as a guest, but as an audience member! This is like Matt’s dream come true. We are going to drive to Chicago for the day on Nov. 9th so that we can sit in the audience. I’ve read that it is quite an experience to sit in the audience. Matt can’t watch Jerry during the day on that crappy channel it’s on, but he’ll stay up until 2a.m. on a Saturday to watch it. It’s so much comedy for him.
I’m trying to get Julie to go, as I already signed her up on the list of my 4 guests. Hopefully she can get away for the day. Tom is a jackass so who knows. I signed Paul up too, so who knows if he can go or not. I told Julie that we’ll have some real chicago style pizza (even if I really can’t eat it). We’ve both never been to chicago… I take that back, I drove past it on the highway about 15 years ago, and remember seeing the skyline from a distance.. oh and I went to Midway airport, which i’m not sure if it counts. Matt has been but that’s all. I think we’d all have fun.
We don’t have to be there until 3:30CST, so if we leave early we’ll have plenty of time. It’s only a 275 drive, so it’s closer than going to Mackinaw.
Well the clocks go back an hour in a couple hours. I hope my crankies wake up late tomorrow, because their bodies won’t adjust right.
Today was Rachel’s birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Most of the ghetto gang was there… Heather and her umpteen sisters of mixed race… all really young and all with infants in hand. Big family, but not one of them has graduated from high school… so unfortunate. Chris and Andrew had lots of fun though, and that’s all that matters. Rachel was too pre-occupied with what was going on. They have this crazy tradition so far where they smash her face into the cake… though a bit gross, I guess its funny. I just had to make sure any frosting I ate was not from the part of hte cake that got smashed in.
I celebrated my birthday the other day by going out to dinner. I had cake and ice cream (well I actually didn’t), and Chris & Andrew liked it. Paul ate all of my cake before I could get a piece… or at least a taste. I can’t eat cake – my one no no, but I usually eat it that once and then vomit it up a few minutes later. I make those special exceptions for my birthday! I don’t know what it is about cake that makes it different from anything else. I think perhaps that it’s thick and spongy and can absorb lots of liquid. It goes down like sludge and blocks up, and causes it to come back up.
Not much else going on right now…. off to bed I go!
