I get so aggravated sometimes!

Of course, when I get to grandma’s today the first thing that comes out of Paul’s mouth is, “Dad says Chris is learning disabled”… and i’m like “Huh?”.  My child is not learning disabled!  He is delayed in development but far from learning disabled…. and that’s a fact.  He has no problem learning.  He has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and  that causes him to not focus, but when he focuses he’s a smart boy.  He has never been diagnosed learning disabled though, so to say that is 100% wrong.  Not that there is anything wrong with a learning disability but we are talking about two different things.  A learning disability is when kids are really slow and learning is difficult because they can’t think right and are incapable of “learning”.  That is what Paul is – which is why he has a hard time adding and subtracting, because he couldn’t be taught well enough.  Though i’m not sure where those terms came from to make drastic assumptions.  He’s not in special ed, he see’s a speech teacher twice a week for 20 minutes, but otherwise carries on as normal in regular education.

Today has been a boring day otherwise, we did the usual.  Every Friday we eat out, except today my grandma didn’t join us.  I think it was too cold for her older bones or something.  I copied a few dvd’s for my sister and gave them to her as well… as well as an older game called Alice.  I’m not a gamer, but she is.

Tomorrow I get to go to a mom2mom resale show at the gibraltar trade center.  I’ve been to 3 so far, and this is the biggest one so far with 365 tables.  We were at the last one for like 2 hours and it only had 35 tables… Julie is a somewhat baby shopaholic so we could spend forever there.  She used to be a shopaholic for herself until she had to give up her job and a couple pounds in the waistline for a baby.  A couple pounds to me is nothing but to someone her size it can be a major downfall of humanity!

Last weekend we went to the computer show to pick up a couple of cooling fans for the server hard drives… just to make sure they don’t overheat.  They’ve got a neat reptile shop in there across from the show area that Chris really likes.  I find that the show is good for parts and stuff, but I don’t think i’d buy a computer or laptop there.

I think i’m going to chicken out of my tonsilectomy – As each day grows nearer I get freaked out more and more.  Even though I suffer at times, maybe there is another solution to this problem.   Perhaps I have an allergy because what causes my throat problems is constant nasal drainage.  I’ll have my doctor put me on something.  She wanted too the last time I was there, but I said not right now.

My grandma sent me a birthday card… the first in years.  I got it yesterday, but I have been working on a letter for about week to send down there.  I don’t hear much these days on how they are doing and I soley rely on letters.  As they are getting older I hear less and less from them when I write.  I have no pictures to send them right now because I have about 1200 waiting to be developed, and I won’t get them developed til next month.  As you can imagine it will cost a lot to develop them.

I mowed the lawn tonight after I got home, while Andrew sat in the van with the door open.. I had too the leaves were piling up.  Ah well.
