I’m not Catholic… in fact I was raised Pentecostal at that Church on Northline near that 7-Eleven, then baptized Lutheran at Christ the King, and married into the Church of England (I think Protestant) in Birmingham, England. So I’m a religious mutt. But my mom and I have always been fascinated by the conclave! It was so shocking to see an American pope, Robert Prevost (some call Pope Bob) from Chicago that has only been Cardinal for 2 years. The fact that the election took 24 hours means this leader chosen to be Cardinal by Francis is truly progressive and will do well for the world for what Pope Francis seen in his vision. His message is everyone is welcome… atheists and agnostics, LGBTQ+, and all other groups formerly shunned by the Catholic Church! I wish my mom was here to witness this!
