Ok so Matt was home for the whole weekend this time. It was nice to be able to sleep in for a couple days. Not to be entirely selfish or anything, but the kids have been utterly driving me insane. For some reason they have been going bonkers lately. All I have to say is all of this better be worth it, and it sure sounds like it will be.
I completed our benefits enrollment, and the only thing that sucks is the more money you make the more you pay for benefits. I guess that’s fair to the little guy that makes a lot less money but it sucks for those in Matt’s income bracket too. The benefits are ok, not what I would call super stellar or anything. We’ve had better, which is surprising because it’s such a large, worldwide company with thousands upon thousands of employees. I would have thought they could have negotiated better with the med. insurance companies.
It sounds like everyone’s dream come true kinda job. You get paid to just be there pretty much. Daimler Chrysler pays CA (Computer Associates) a million dollars per year for a license agreement that includes a person onsite for tech support. Well CA told Matt that last year in the month of December they had one call for support. So pretty much the entire time you sit on your butt earning money. He can probably work from home as well. At least his first week will be a work from home week, and whenever he’s not physically present he can work from home.
We are supposed to get tons of snow tomorrow and i’m not looking forward to it. I slipped and fell down my front porch stairs this morning while shoveling the little bit we had and that was a wee bit humiliating!! Hopefully nobody was looking! My rear hurts to say the least. Of course I was being a duface and out there with no coat on, and my rubber airwalk shoes (with air holes and no socks on)… so I guess I was asking for it.
Ah well i’m off to bed now… it’s 12:09a.m.!
