It's been a CCFCCP's (Crazy!) Month! – Part 1 – Some Pics!

JensNotes | Pura Vida

Where to start….well, happy 32nd birthday today to me 🙂  I’m in a happy place at the moment, well, lets say I’m “content”.  I’m getting better health wise, my kids are in a new school (all about that in my next post), Matt has a new job with his old company CA that pays awesomely well and he’s back working from home with some travel involved. I’ve still lost my mind and am not better in that regard, and when I say lost my mind I just mean forgetfulness.  So I won’t go photo crazy in this post except for a handful.    Ava and Matt just had their birthdays in the last 2  weeks so I literally forgot about mine until yesterday.
This is my rebellious stage, it just happened to occur 16 years after my 16th birthday, ha ha.  I have a very pretty shade of dark violet in my hair.  I’m finding that I’m so tired of being plain. I have been plain my entire life, and I hate drawing attention to myself.  Makes sense right?  Yeah right.  It’s a test of my self-esteem.  So I took my family, my self-esteem, and new makeup look to Great Lakes Crossing.  So I acted as if nothing was different and I walked through the mall.  Very few people stared at me, and I actually got some compliments.  It’s because it’s purple, but, it’s not freaky deaky purple. I am just very well coordinated.

The New Me 🙂

The reason for my weirdness can only be explained like this.  It is common for gastric bypass patients or any patient with rapid weight loss to experience something that causes the mind to not match the reflection in the mirror.  Until about 6 months ago, I looked in the mirror and couldn’t see the 175lb me.  I’ve been stuck at this same weight for quite                                                                      a while.  Something happened last year though.  Through thick and thin and a year later I am better and getting better ever day I feel as though I have to express myself a little more than normal.  So I have a favorite color, now everybody will know it.   I would never consider it goth makeup, lol.  This is purely for style, and not a freaky thing.  I want to look special, my own special way, without people staring at me.  So yesterday went to  a crowded mall and I got a few stares, and one person who loved it 🙂
My BFF Julie says she can’t get used to it, that her “friend is gone”…. lol.  She will.
In the last couple months I have gotten about 6 tattoo’s, 5 of which I did on myself.  I had a tattoo machine kit, but gave it to Julie to make better use of it.  Tattooing is much harder than drawing, which I’m ok at… but not great.   Julie is my artist of choice, not myself, ha ha.  Mine aren’t bad, but they are “scratch jobs”.  I appreciate them for what they are, a momentary representation of what I had inside my mind.

So yes, I’ve been busy.  My back has to get finished hopefully this week, but aside from that no more tattoo’s for a while.  But, I’m very coordinated now in colors, ha ha.  Here is my BFF and I the other day getting some medical stuff taken care of!

My mom got me these orchids for my birthday, which hopefully I can’t kill too easily!   Here, my hair is still purple, but it’s not freakish looking.  I put some accessories in my hair and i’m all set!2012-10-22_17-12-51_271

My son Chris just got his first pair of Air Jordan’s and his ear pierced.  He’s 10, it’s ok, and it is allowed by his school dress code.
