Well it’s been a long week…. I hate cold weather, it’s depressing and I can’t believe it snowed today. It’s too early!!!
Things have been really really slow around here, and boring. Every night we spend working on the website getting it ready. Though, it won’t open on time. We need two more weeks of programming into it. We are putting the finishing touches on it. We really hope that this website will become popular.
I got a call last Friday afternoon regarding Andrew’s lead & hemoglobin test results and that they were in. Of course they call 5 minutes before they close the phone lines, and I couldn’t call them until Tuesday. So I had to wait all weekend and worry. Well it turns out that they do regularly follow up on bloodwork and were just calling to tell me everything was ok. They should call on Mondays!
I had a bad day yesterday after walking out of my bank after they told me I can’t do anything with the check… Andrew smiled at me and I noticed a brown spot on his tooth. I immediately freaked out and rubbed my finger across it only to discover he had a crater in his front tooth. I freaked out all day long thinking, “what have I done”. I thought all day that some mistake I did gave him bottle rot, which is where sugars from drinks decay the teeth. I kept reading and reading and everything I read told me that when this happens, all four upper front teeth rot. Well Andrew had only one tooth, so it was somewhat of a relief. I immediately called a pediatric dentist down the road and thankfully got him in this morning. It is such a nice dentists office for kids. Her name is Jody Findazzo… a young dentist, but very good it seems. She said that his teeth got like that while he was developing in-utero, because his tooth has always been somewhat discolored. But it is not bottle rot because it is just that one tooth. It wasn’t my fault and I feel a lot better. I never sent either of my kids to bed with a bottle, although Andrew does have a sippy cup often, but only water in bed.
Next Wednesday he goes back to the dentist to have his teeth bonded. I’m slightly worried about this because they are going to strap him down and give him nitrous oxide and bond his teeth. They do not do IV sedation thankfully. They do sedation through a mask, which she said is like a dose of benadryl, but they are still awake.
It’s 12:10a.m. and it’s Friday the 13th. I wonder what today will pose…
