We did not have a spectacular eclipse. The sun was out, we had glasses on, I'd say we got to 50%. Oh, and the dog went nuts, chased a squirrel and got it, and we had to do a ritual burial of the recently deceased as our "max time" was approaching. What i'm even more shocked about is why none of the schools my kids go to within the @[100075850637247:2048:Brevard Public Schools (official)] did not let the kids outdoors to experience any of it. I remember back in 94 in 8th grade at Gerisch (in Southgate) we had an annular eclipse (where it doesn't get as dark, as the moon is at it's greatest distance from earth and so appears smaller than the sun) where the path passed overhead and they took us outdoors to view it. Info here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_May_10,_1994 but I will chase down totality next time on the planet earth, as it happens somewhere on earth around every 18 months. My friends in Detroit, you guys all got close! Now, I need to experience totality and I don't want to wait 20 years lol.
