From Facebook: Want to be a Skywarn Spotter?

Want to be a Skywarn Spotter? For those of you not proudly in my lame Palm Bay & S. Brevard County – Weather Nerds group where I posted this… you may be interested. I did my first spotter training under Chuck Gaidica from WDIV Local 4 / ClickOnDetroit in Detroit so many years ago.

Have you ever considered becoming a National Weather Service Spotter? Brevard County is offering their FREE training on July 17th, 2024 at the new Brevard Emergency Operations Center in Melbourne! You will become and official spotter, and get your own spotter ID card. That makes you a valuable asset in the Skywarn Weather Spotters Network so that we can inform the NWS and the public of what is happening in the skies and on the ground around us. I've been a certified spotter, but it's time to update that training. Minors can attend for educational purposes as well, so if they are mature enough, and like my daughter, wants to be like their mamma, the "Lightning Hunter"… sign 'em up too!

Register here then keep an eye out for the official email sometime before then! https://forms.gle/7QVqVkvMd3KBKUjM8 (it's just the link from the photo to a Google Form for the NWS.

Join my family and let's have a spotterific summer class. Lordy that was cheesy!!
