So this young guy comes to the shop. We talk "shop" on coins of historical significance, which are my favorite. I bring up my German Nazi & other third reich coins in mint condition and it goes from that to him whipping out of his bag to show me this absolutely gorgeous WW era Nazi German Air Force officers dagger. I had to buy this for Andrew Flavell. He did not want to part with it, but I agreed to buy his Morgan and Peace dollars from the from late 1800s to early 1900s, and he spent over an hour talking over this stuff. He was going to take it to the knife shop across the hall but I said nooo I need it. I begged him lol. His starting price was way too high I thought but I talked him down to $280. So yay I got it. The last photo shows his body with his arms holding a replica which was also cool but not the same! The best part came when I had it verified as legit original and no replacement parts and it turns out it's worth $2,500.00!!!!! I was hoping to get Christopher Flavell something special too but I think he'd throw it out 😢
