So, I've always had this fear of boating. I figured my boating license we got in 8th grade in Michigan is pretty worthless since they didn't really teach anything yet it was good for life. Navigating the inter-coastal waterways here is tricky, especially because there are areas you must go slow in because of the manatees and sandbars and there are actually signs everywhere that I know nothing about. In fact, I've never driven a boat or been on one in a long time. So, I enrolled in boating school, which is a full blown class with an exam so I can get my Florida Fish and Wildlife service lifetime boating license. You ask why? I want to rent a boat so I can throw Andrew a pre-deployment sandbar/island party with family and his friends. He'll be on his pre-deployment leave July 28 – August 10th and I'm excited. I'd love my son Christopher Flavell to finally unite and join the festivities, since they are for Andrew. Andrew Flavell's friends are all welcome and I'd have to make a couple trips to/from shore to get everyone there and back!
