Ok so a couple weeks ago I went to the doctors to finally get treated for hyperhidrosis of the face/head. It's a condition where you sweat profusely. Since I moved to Florida, even the simplest tasks of walking outside into a wall of humidity make me start sweating. It's debilitating on the job too because I get dehydrated and passed out once. So I go see this dermatologist locally and she recommends injecting Botox into my sweat glands in my face. Amazon's insurance is awesome so of course they cover it. She promised me it would have no cosmetic side effects because in order to have that happen she would have to inject it into my facial muscles whereas this was just going under the surface of the skin. After 2 weeks they got my vial of botox in and I go in, and I suffer through 62 shots in the face. OMG it hurt. And I have to have it done every 3 months. Anyway, a few days later I'm thinking i'm having a stroke. Soup is like falling out of my mouth, I can't whistle and had a mini-freakout. I can no longer move my jaw forward to evenly connect my lips and my forehead is paralyzed. I totally forgot I had it done but didn't realize the effects take a week to set in.
So another week later i'm still struggling with a stiff, very uncomfortable feeling in my face but i'm noticing my face is fuller and my giant forehead wrinkle is gone from squinting my entire life. I also can't just raise my eyes anymore either, lol. So is this what Botox feels like? Common sense told me that it had to absorb somewhere and my guess is it went right into the muscle. My smile is affected, and I am not a fan. However, I will enjoy looking 1 year younger for a bit. I only have some powder on my face right now and eye shadow and I just noticed i'm not that wrinkly lol. Still not a fan though. I still can't use a straw or fully whistle. So this is a Botox face that was not meant to see any cosmetic side effects.
My face looks fatter and i'm not a fan of that either! No camera filters or smoothing happening here.
