It's really not fair that I can survive Septic Shock 3 times and end 2016 on a ventilator along with my last memory of 2016 being a feeling of my chest inflating artificially with the machine breathing for me … but a couple others I know were killed without even having a chance. I asked why am I still here? I'm so afraid that it could only take one more time because most people don't survive the first time. Severe septic shock has a 50-50 mortality rate to so say I'm lucky would be an understatement.
Everyone has a reason to be here, I'm just trying to figure out why i am.
