I get the panic, I get those whom have anxiety about a epic crisis' of unheard of proportions, but I don't get the run on the markets. It only incites a panic. In reality, you only need the supplies you'd normally buy for your family for 2 weeks, a month, etc. No need for extra TP and other stuff. Medicines OTC and Rx I get, freezable and non-perishable foods, but why take from those who may have a need. I hope the stores across the country implement policies that limit. Hoarding doesn't help the panic in this pandemic.

Frankly I would love to just go to the grocery store and get normal needs I know my household will need plus a little extra, but due to panic, that causes a hardship. No need to hoard, because they will continue to make toilet paper, alcohol, and dish soap. Supplies will still come in. When you create a panic, then you fuel the price gougers. People can't even get diapers because you're hoarding diapers that others may need legitimately. Babies won't go through extra diapers. Toilet paper has not been around forever you know. Sure, hunker down, it's best to shelter in place, but this nonsense on stocking up for more than what you would need to normally take care of your family (aside from a few extra items) is going to cause crisis on top of crisis. They don't expect to run out of basic needs, and not everyone unfortunately (but fortunately) are not sent home from work. While there may be a shortage due to this rush, take some time to think about your friends and neighbors who can't afford to do a months shopping at once, and leave some for others. <3
