This photo is so tragic in several ways because these kids knew and were about to watch something happen no child should ever have to witness… the death of my mother at home. I will still never be more thankful that my best friend Julie was accidentally in town that very weekend, when we had no idea out of nowhere that this would happen. This truly was the start of my hell just 5 months after moving to Florida. However, we kept them away doing fun things during the day, but you can just see the emotion in my son's faces. As much as we tried to shield them from it, we couldn't prevent it from happening in front of them at home. Love to my bestie ?? I would not have survived this or that final conversation with my mom without you.
