So, you know you are in the Florida rainy season when everyday, the word showers and thunderstorms can be forecast daily. Then it gets quirky, where they have to do 2-3 forecasts a day, all the same thing but no mention of the weather in between. Generally blustering heat and sun, but they don't mention it. Then as you progress, you get the days of forecast where they are happy to tell you that at some point in the day, you will be in a tropical down burst but declare without pause that it will be sunny too.
Ultimately as summer goes along you have a 90% daily chance of getting a drop of rain at least one time per day, not a whole washout – that's for winter. For tourists they see this forecast and go OMG my vacation is ruined. No, but 5 minutes between hours of blistering sun and followed by another 5 minutes you might get rained on.
Let's not forget, that between those apocalyptic down bursts of rain, for hours you'll be outside in the worst sauna you've ever sat in and mosquitoes galore. Sounds like a fun! That's why we don't go outside.
