Well, needless to say it’s been an interesting trip.  Right now i’m in Lenoir City, TN spending the night.  We were gonna try and make it all the way to Corbin, Kentucky but it just didn’t happen. Everyone was getting tired at around 9:30 so we decided to extend tomorrow’s day by an hour and a half.  We have gone a little over 700 miles today.

Disney World was good…. Universal Studios ended up being a huge disappointment.  I didn’t get to go on any good rides and I kinda feel like I got jipped out of an awesome experience.  It was very costly, and I was hoping to get more out of it than we did, but oh well, there is always next year I guess.  Maybe the kids will be older and behave a bit better.  Andrew and Joey have had their moments on this trip, let me tell ya.  Chris overall had excellent behavior.  He had a few meltdowns, but I really think he’s starting to mature.

We were supposed to go to the beach today but I could secretly feel Julie’s need to get back home, so since we never did get a hold of Brooke, we ended up not going to the beach and just heading straight home. I was very disappointed.  If it was just Matt and I with the kids, we probably would have spent the day at the beach and slowly made our way home.

I did get some really good pics of everyone.  I will have some video posted soon.  I have a really cute video clip of an incident that happened at Universal Studios involving Andrew with Shaggy and Scooby Doo.  I really wish we would have spent the day at Islands of Adventure rather than the studios.  The studios suck butt… there is nothing there and all the attractions are gay.  Ok, the Twister and Shrek 4D was good, but everything else was way overrated.  Islands of Adventure was so cool but we only ended up spending 3 hours there and spent all of our time in Dr. Seuss land catering to the kiddies… while I was quietly ignoring the gigantic rollercoasters lingering behind us.  We ate at the Hard Rock cafe, so that was cool, I had never been to one before.  I wanted to eat at Emeril’s too, but I didn’t have enough space in my esophogus for more food.

At Disney World we had a pricey character dinner at Crystal Palace.  My god in heaven it was mostly worse than Old Country Buffet, except it cost $125 for 3 adults and 1 child to eat dinner.  Outrageous, but Chris enjoyed the Winnie The Pooh characters that came around.  The dessert bar sucked rear…. they provided ice cream but only had sprinkles to go on top!!  They sliced prime rib for you too, but the slices were paper thin. The only thing i really like, and is weird, is the mussels in curry sauce.  Ok that sounds disgusting, and mussels typically are, except for whatever reason the curry sauce made it taste soooooo good.

Today has been a long boring driving day though…. kids have been extremely bad.  Joey was good today compared to Chris & Andrew.  Joey had his day the first day we drove down here.  We put his carseat next to Andrew hoping that they would entertain each other, but that didn’t happen.  He whined almost the entire way down and Julie had to constantly be next to him. At some point I pulled over and we moved his car seat into the back of the van and Julie sat with him.  Since then he has still been a bit whiney, but not nearly as bad as the first day.  It’s like the kids reversed roles or something.

Ok well I suppose I’m gonna go to bed now, gotta drive another 500 miles tomorrow!
