Ahh Christmast time… blah.. snow!
So what’s new…..? Not much! It’s been a pretty boring few weeks since my last blog. Not much new going on. I went overboard for Christmas this year as usual. I’ve been doing my Christmas shopping like crazy. I like doing it from the comfort of my home, so Amazon.com got my business as well as Toys R Us.com. TRU sucks though… I placed one order for like 7 items, and not only did they double bill me and ship me two identical shipments, they also sent each toy in one box. UPS showed up with 14 boxes and it was so embarassing! The UPS man had to get a dolly out and he had a helper. The next day I returned the duplicate order to Toys R Us and got a TomTom One XL gps for me. Matt has a gps unit but it is more for handheld use, and it is limited. You can use it to drive and it serves it’s purpose but it doesn’t do much else.
I think we are going to take a Disney cruise in February. We have a mid-winter break for like a week so i’m sure we could all use a small break. I figure we can take like a 4 night cruise and then spend a night in Florida and go to Disney World again. Who knows… it all depends on Matt’s work schedule. He seems to be busier than ever with both school and work. Today he has a final exam in his really hard class and he’s worried about it.
We are also planning a return trip to England in August. We’ll stay a couple weeks as usual. This time though we have to take a different airline. Stupid British Airways decided not to leave out of Detroit anymore so there are no longer any direct flights. Now I think we’ll just catch a flight to Boston and we’ll try out Virgin Atlantic this time. I’ve heard they are really good. Then, Beth keeps mentioning the Bahamas in March for spring break, but who really knows if that will happen. That would just be her and I. So I might have a busy year.
If my stupid federal loans will ever get processed I can finally register for classes this semester. For whatever reason my loans are going through Sallie Mae and it takes forever. Matt just registered for his 2nd semester at Wayne State. After this semester he’ll be half way done with his masters. It’s toooo expensive. I think we are paying over $400 per credit hour for his classes.
Well I must go pick Chris up from school soon!
