LOL. Yeah, we had our girls night out, and this is what it consisted of, as always.
I had a few M&M’s, a drink or two of warm COKE, and 1/2 a $1 totino’s pizza. Sounds like a killer party! Julie in her jammies and me in my oversized Ren & Stimpy shirt watching a Disney movie called Hocus Pocus from 1993. No kids involved either 🙂 We compute together, or I spend the time computing for her fixing things. I had a brief attempt at restoring her ancient alien in the corner, a hideously huge tower, but gave up because the mouse and keyboard kept powering off 5 minutes after boot. That will be a project for me next weekend. It takes time to restore a computer to it’s original luster and I didn’t feel like using my “night out” staring into a monitor, not that I haven’t done it a million times before, just not tonight. Geeks do what geeks do best. Julie is a geek in the making though, I’m guiding her knowledge in the right direction.
I told her last night I had a copy of Emergency Medicine – 6th Ed. – A Comprehensive Study Guide and told her it contains yummy stuff like how to treat blast wounds, and she got all excited. Only Julie can be excited over that, I want no part of that much detail!! That book does make for some interesting reading. Who needs a hospital now, unless you are having a stroke or heart attack and need life saving drugs perhaps, or antibiotics!
I guess my birthday is in 3 more days, and #31 will finally be here. I have no plans at all. I think I had an offer of some food from Denny’s from my sister on the 28th, which is 4 days late, but Denny’s isn’t my idea of fun, since i’ll likely pay for what I eat there with about 30 minutes in bed. Who doesn’t want a greasy pile of hash browns or a delicious prime rib (supposedly) and cheese sandwich on greasy garlic bread. Ahh, well maybe a bite or two. My sister is too easily grossed out over what happens when I eat the wrong foods so I have to be careful, LOL. The casino sounds fun, but the last time I won on my birthday was when I went to Casino Windsor for my 19th birthday. I went to gamble that year, most people go to drink!! Of course, when you are the only one with a license and a car at that age I suppose you can’t drink! If it’s anything like every other year most people will forget, including my own family, but I’m used to it! I can’t say I don’t feel another year older though, it shows in my looks, and my hair. A lot of gray is growing in and I have still yet to get out and get my hair done, I look like a disaster.
Ah well, good night!
