So I broke my tailbone this afternoon doing something I always do, things for other people. It doesn’t bother (doing things for people), but this time it kinda hurt. Well, it hurts a lot!!! The neighbor, Gloria, asked me if we could try to remove a dead hanging branch from the tree in the front yard (side of our house), and we were like sure, we do it all the time at our old house. It didn’t honestly look like a big problem, so we gave it a go. First Matt messed around with it. I told him to go get a device to record this because I wanted to record him falling on his butt. Well he decided to wimp out on me, and instead he recorded me swinging, hanging, jumping, and ultimately breaking my tailbone on this branch.
I look like a dumb dumb but really wanted to get it down for this lady. I couldn’t imagine her out there trying but she said she did. I’m glad I took the broken tailbone for her if that was the cost. I’m still glad to help, even though it hurts! I find it funny more than anything, but not without crying from the pain at the same time, LOL.
I do stupid stuff sometimes, but it’s always because I’m trying to do something important. I guess everyone does dumb stuff a time or two in life 🙂 I’m just trying not to run out of luck anymore this month. I’ve already had 911 called twice, and two hospital visits… no more please. I promise to myself that I will take a break now that the house is pretty much in order. I am covered with bruises…. a lot on the chest from compressions at the police station, and all over my legs from moving and at my joints from when they seized up during my panic attack last weekend.
So anyhow, today I finally finished up all the laundry, only have one basket of girls clothing to put away, vacuumed, mopped, put step 3 fertilizer out, watered the lawns, finished putting away my clothes in my room which were scattered throughout the floor waiting for a new spot, cleaned, cleaned, and cleaned … until about 6p.m. when I had my accident!
Breaking these new rules in with the kids is proving to be difficult. We are strict when it comes to no food and drink anywhere except kitchen and dining room, but I have found they slipped at one point and seen a drink in their bedroom. I threw out a lot of toys today too. Oh, and I also reversed the dryer door and that proved to be a complicated task even though it shouldn’t have been.
Next week I will register the kids for school, get that all taken care of. Oh, and the water people, I keep forgetting, Monday that is my job somehow with all 4 kids and an injury but i’ll manage, i’ve had to deal with worse. I also need to consult the attorney next week sometime for my rescheduled hearing date of 8/16. I will not be unprepared this time, though i’ll still take my anxiety meds with me just in case. Is it possible for me to be mentally incompetent for a misdemeanor “dog at large” charge? If they let that one stand I’m going to be so mad. I hope nothing comes of it. It’ll be a busy week. I hope my butt feels better next week.
Gloria next door gave me some funny looking squash to try before my accident. I will cook them up for the baby and I tomorrow. We are the only ones that eat veggies so far. Sometimes Chris will, but not always.
The green thumb wannabe in me is really wanting to do something about the overgrowth of perennials in the front beds. The question is…. now… or next spring. It needs new mulch that’s for sure, and de-weeded. That was going to be my first task after settling in but I might have to wait because of my injury. I need to get a bottle of roundup to take care of the weeds and grass in the gravel. I’m nit picky like that though. I have all my personal lawn equipment here so hopefully next week i’ll be able to do some of my own work. I’ve already manually walked pretty much the whole property applying fertilizer and bug stuff. As long as it’s not hot out i’m ok, but this week it’s supposed to be pretty hot.
It’s 1a.m. and i’ve been sitting in the same position on my baby’s boppy pillow which is similar to a donut pillow for like 3 hours and I’m afraid to move, i’ve kind of gotten used to staying in this stupid position. I’d rather just sit here like this for the night and fall asleep, but at some point I guess I have to get up and go upstairs. It’s not just sitting that bothers me, it’s walking, standing, and all that stuff. OMG i’ve been waiting so long to get in the jetted tub but now I may have to wait because the thought of getting in and out of it is scaring me. I was so looking forward to that. I might still try it tomorrow.
My doctors office is gonna love it when I come in and tell them I broke my tail bone. They’ll probably laugh at me, especially when I whip out the phone and show them the video. Before I even made it to the inside of the darn house Matt had it posted under his youtube account!! When I came in, sat down, edited it down to 42 seconds and put it on my facebook account, I realized I started hurting more. Then it occured to me I couldn’t feel my tailbone, which since I have lost 150lbs has become quite prominent, so that was odd. Then I was getting sick to my stomach feeling. So I decided to have it checked out. Good thing, I needed the tylenol. I wish I could take ibuprofen for this but I can’t… and definitely no narcotics!
Ah well, i’m going to watch some news now, maybe venture upstairs to get me an ambien because god knows I won’t be able to fall asleep with this pain and the tylenol only takes a little bit of it away. I’m going to try to enjoy a restful weekend.
Til next time…………… 🙂
