Market PSA/warning that there are a several vendors selling rolls of 2025 penny's at extortionate rates that have no clue what they are talking about. The penny is not dead. They literally produced 1.1 trillion in 2025 alone, and nearly that many every single year. Right now there is a mindset people are in called, "Oh my god, these are the last, must buy no matter what!". They will swear to you that you will never see them again. Truth is also, there will always be penny's made, you may just have to go through me or another local coin shop or eBay to get them because they are only being newly created each year for proof sets and other sets. The federal reserve is also re-introducing already turned in penny's because it hurts businesses and customers alike with the round-up, round-down nonsense. If you ever find yourself short of a penny or want a 2025 penny for a penny, come visit me this weekend. Such misinformation and money grubbing going around. I could package them in sets of 2 or 3 (from each mint) and package to sell for $10, but I'm not about to mislead my customers ever! This is simply hyper-inflated due to the psychological mindset of the "last penny". If you are paying $20-$50+ per roll, you will NEVER recoup the cost, unless you play the same games others are and for a short period of time only. Events like this have happened before with Kennedy Halves and others which aside from a few varieties are worthless.
