So I'd like to announce, I am now an official #Amazon regular full-time employee. I start tomorrow night working 6:30p.m. til 5a.m. which hopefully works out fine since I'm a vampire anyway. I didn't realize that it's a hazmat handling facility. You know, those packages that come with danger stickers… I assume lithium ion products, chemicals, etc. Lol, considering I am THE most accident prone person on the planet. I hurt my finger yesterday shopping for makeup ha ha. The benefits are awesome, but what I am most excited for is they will pay 100% of my tuition to finish my bachelor's degree! I'm seriously overqualified for the position, but hey, if it pays for that degree, eventually I can move up the ladder into a position that meets my background. I created a thread under the r/AmazonFC subreddit… 74 comments later and OMG so many negative jerks. I'm working at a brand new facility in Cocoa, FL (near Cocoa Beach). I'm very nervous! Check out this thread I started – this is a national subreddit and every warehouse is different, but OMG it's funny and scary at the same time.
What should I expect from this shift?
