Just driving due west of here down Malabar, until we left pavement, which scared Ava Mellenballer (Thanks to the movie Twister lol), we discovered the Three Forks Conservation Area and my oh my that is my new viewing spot! It's all wetlands with a view of the horizon and you can see both sides of the state. I only caught one strike of lightning that isn't that impressive but I got some good weather and cloud photos. We were out there til the sun set!
