Something life altering happened to me yesterday. OMG. Ok, my long time friends on Facebook know I seek out every ounce of nature to photograph. I am fearless with my camera. I've been exploring, photographing bugs, mammals, gators feet away, birds that look like they are prehistoric and could eat you. I literally have no fear. But yesterday, OMG, my first ever snake encounter. I've never seen a snake in my life in the wild which I guess is strange since I'm always in weird places where they should be hunting me. Everyone says they are in my yard and the kids have seen them.
Ugh, so yesterday of all places I'm standing in the middle of a modern retirement community, well maintained… on a concrete driveway helping put furniture items in a uhaul. I felt something smack me on my calf and I look down and this big ass "Garden Racer" I guess they are called…. IT COILED AROUND MY LEG!!!!!!!!!!! It did it so fast and all I felt was the smack of it, and it's size and it slithered away so fast. I'm traumatized for life. I never wear shorts or capri's and yesterday I did, and omg I still feel it on my leg. Ha ha… a story to tell, I thought I'd run out of stories only I could come up with.
After that, I was walking out of the house and a tiny little lizard spooked me. I may never be the same again. LOL
