RANT FOR THE YEAR: Why now are there so many mass shootings?? Who or what is to blame?? I mean, at least here in Florida since the Marjorie Stoneman Douglas school shooting, our public schools are surrounded by wrought iron fences, chained shut with the only entrance open being the school office. Here in Brevard County our "school resource officers" aka a local deputy or police officer will greet you with what I believe is an assault rifle if you cause problems. All that and yet it's not impenetrable! If someone wants to find a way to hurt people they will find that way. I praise school security here, but it's still not enough. While I'm all for 2nd amendment rights, there has to be tougher legislation. I also believe it should be an instant death penalty for mass school shootings, and fortunately most immediately get the death penalty but just like the idiot who shot up Marjorie Stoneman Douglas, he's just going to get life.
