Last week when I posted the picture of my broken foot, I was mainly mad at a person who I trusted that violence was never in their blood… Jason's dad. Jason wasn't around for that, so his dad did it while nobody was looking but somehow thought nobody would figure out how I ended up with 7 broken bones. I may be clumsier than anyone on earth but it's hard to break the top of your own foot unless you are like me and carry an anvil around (I actually do but not this time!). I was so angry at Jason that day, he didn't see it happen so he wouldn't defend me. It took me begging for help with my last breaths on my porch I think it was the next day (I have little memory now) for a neighbor and an Amazon delivery driver to find me and call paramedics.
When I just couldn't breathe anymore, I just remember the sirens and the "oh shit, bag her"). I remember I could hear and then I just watched darkness fade in. I thought I was just left for dead. But the day before I was so angry because I had been left alone, sick, and now injured. The police wouldn't come in my house because it was tagged a potential bio-hazard, so while I did call the police to prevent that man from hurting me, they would not attend to me because of potential Covid. They ignored me and left me on the ground. I begged and pleaded with them crying on the floor that I was hurt and they let that man just walk away. If I would have thought getting a Covid-19 test meant that I couldn't even call police for help and rescue wouldn't enter the house, I would have never got one. I didn't know they mark your house as a potential hazard.
We are talking the city of Palm Bay services. I tried once calling for help 3x over 40 minutes and they never showed. What if those people weren't there for me? I've yet to see them again to understand what transpired with me. The city does have some liability for letting my situation go and refusing to come near me. So now everyone who's had a covid test could ultimately die because of these specific non-heroes? They had plenty of PPE on, but these were no heroes. Whoever came to help me, figures Amazon, a stranger, those are the real heroes. Neither is the nurse that nearly killed me at the beginning of her shift by giving me a medicine i'm known to be allergic too.
Everyone else in my care was perfect til I came home.
My marriage can be saved for sure, but any man that puts that amount of violence into a woman doesn't deserve to live. I can forgive Jason for his momentary monster outrage at me, we share responsibility in that… but his dad, who broke my foot, no way.
You always feel like you have to find someone to blame. In reality it's probably all my fault, but seriously I've never imagined being stomped on, and left for dead by the authorities only to have them find me and put me on a ventilator, the very thing I've been fighting for weeks. I only go to drastic measures on FB when I feel like I have nobody. So what I posted is what happens when i'm in a spot where something is definitely wrong. A few caught on, I told them I was ok. Why worry others 1400 miles away. I did it for my own peace of mind because I had no other choice.
There will be a falling out with me and Jason's family, a couple of them anyhow, but I am always willing to forgive, just I never forget.
So my foot doesn't look as bad a week later (the really icky pic) but I have to get a walking boot. My feet are typically bony but even the slightest touch to my right foot now is so painful and nope… no pain meds. More specialists that's all.
