I'm scared to death of Hurricane Dorian. It's going to make landfall so far, a category 4 (I'm predicting strengthening to a mild cat 5) probably within 40 miles of us, which could mean the eyewall will pass overhead of us and we will stuck. 24-48 hours of 115-125 MPH winds. I knew that when it missed Puerto Rico, and now had open waters that are warm it would strengthen.
I was supposed to be in Michigan this weekend but can't because we couldn't leave the house as it was, nor leave the cats. But if we have to run, we will have nowhere to go and it will be too late. I'm worrying about a mandatory evacuation that could happen in Brevard County. Then we have to leave, but where would we go… the whole state is effected and may end up stranded on a freeway. We only live like 8 miles from the ocean. We have a giant canal behind us, where with the wind direction, the ocean will push water back into it, and we could flood. We are prepped as best we can. My gut instinct is usually never ever wrong, but unless some magic happens, I'm forced to stay for what I promised I'd never stay. At this point, I do not know the idiots plans of staying or evacuating in Titusville, near Kennedy Space Center. They may stay, but they will have a direct impact as well and their neighborhood literally is like a toilet bowl that can fill up with water. They refuse to tell me what is going on.
I have my daughters Friday and Saturday, and I want them in my safe arms, so when it comes to returning them Saturday night just before landfall, it may create an incident because I will not return them to those idiots who care more about their 9-12 dogs and they don't have a big enough vehicle to evacuate all 4 of my children plus their damn dogs.
