Today Andrew is one month, one week, and one day old :o) He’s getting to be a big boy already!! There isn’t much new happening with him; he’s still very much an infant, although the blank emotionless / expressionless stares, are starting to become better. I think he’s about ready to make his first real smile. That day will make me very happy. When that happens, it makes it all worth it. I’m so much in love with him it’s crazy.
He’s getting better with his night sleeping. For the last couple nights he’s slept 4-5 hours in between feedings, so that’s a positive sign of improvement.
He went to see his pediatrician, Dr. Less on the 25th of March, and all was good at that checkup. His official weight is 9lbs 1oz without clothes on. He’s in the 50th percentile for height & weight, and that was very good especially since he was a preemie. His next appointment isn’t until he’s almost 3 months old, on May 17th. At that appointment he’ll get another round of immunizations.
It was my mom’s 49th birthday last week (on the 26th) and we took her to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. That darn meal cost us $85!! I’m not going there again for a while. We wanted to go to Mountain Jack’s but they are crazy and don’t open for dinner until 4p.m. on the weekends. For her birthday I bought her a Bissell bagless vacuum. Not quite as nice as mine, but well needed and will do the job perfectly for that household.
This week Ive decided it’s time to restart my weight loss regimen, and Im more motivated than ever, with my initial weight loss after Andrew was born. I’ve started Weight Watchers, as their program is the most reasonable of any programs out there. I don’t understand how you lose weight from it, but I guess you do!! I’m allotted 31 points for my current weight (292), and the more you lose the less points you eat. That’s a ton of food though. I will weigh myself every Sunday and post it on here. Matt is joining in with me, although he’s on a candy binge right now and he’s a bit slow to start. He claims he’ll start next week, but we’ll see. Our YMCA visits will start back next week after my 6 week post partum visit to the doctor. That is when he will give me the OK to work out.
I’m registering for school again this Monday. I’m excited because Im going to take interesting classes, and not just educational classes. I think I will take Criminal Justice, Political Science and history.
