I'm calling today's Delta 4 launch scrubbed already. It's 1:55a.m…. no launch until 6:55p.m. My analysis of weather says there is a 30% chance of proper launch conditions, but 70% chance that thunderstorms will affect the area at that time of the day. That's based on weather alone. When you factor in the chance of a mechanical issue, it's just not worth the effort. BUUUT, since i'll be in the area anyway driving around, maybe i'll get lucky. I'm a realist, it just don't look good. Rockets aren't shuttles, they can handle worse weather conditions for launches but the pattern lately isn't favorable. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, and i'll get lucky if I am wrong.
