I'm not happy about the Michigan legislature passing a bill changing the cutoff date for starting school. In 2014 the child's birthday must be by Nov 1st in order to get in for the school year, and in 2015 they have to be 5 by October 1st. That means Ava won't be starting school until she is 6, just because her birthday is 10/7.
