I think for Christmas I will give each of my boys a good lesson on managing money. I will get them each a crisp, bank wrapped, stack of 100 – $1 bills and a lockbox thing for each of them. When kids see a stack of money, they think it's a lot of money, so regardless if it's $1 bills it will amaze them. They won't want to spend it, they will protect it and save it. Well, that's how I know my kids will view it. If you give them a $20 bill they think it's nothing because it's just one bill, they don't get the "$20" part. It makes them value a single $1 just a little more when they have to give away one bill for every dollar they spend. Just an idea I had. I was thinking about doing it with Caitlyn with $10, though still young, she loves to steal Dadda's wallet and run off with that rare thing we have called cash. We don't work in cash around here, so the boys think I can just whip out a card and pay for things, so they don't understand the concept of money and the value behind it.
