Just in case anyone is interested, Titanic actually sank on April 15, 1912 in the ship's time zone. It struck the iceburg on April 14, 1912 at 11:40p.m. (utc -3:00) which was 9:40p.m. EST. Sure, if we think about EST it was shortly before midnight but that's not how it works! So don't be like me and think that it actually sank tonight at 2a.m.-ish. LOL 🙂 Today is only the 13th! History wants us to remember the 14th for some reason!
