Visited with my dad.

So despite being sick I went up to the hospital to see my dad.  You can tell he’s listening and can understand us, but he cannot communicate at all.  He has the speaking ability of an 18 month old at this moment.
I really hope this whole thing wakes him up.  I don’t think it will though judging by what went on tonight.  He is still in denial.  My brother was up there and was doing most of the communication for him, which wasn’t much.  It’s hard to talk to someone who can’t respond back, especially when you haven’t seen or talked to them in 3 years.  What do you say to a person?
Thankfully all he has lost is speech, and not any bodily functions.  He should be thankful.  I just hope he’ll recover from this and all the other things causing this.  He’ll be getting analyzed by a neurologist tomorrow to see what damage has been done and we’ll know more then.
