More kids?
Well I haven’t had a bad week, but rather a very boring one!! I haven’t done much at all this week really. I went with Julie to visit the baby in the hospital, and he’s still doing way better than expected. Hopefully he’ll be able to come home this next week. I mainly spent most of my nights putting the finishing touches on my friends birth DVD that I am creating for her. It’s a really nice little film that I have put together and I hope she likes it. I have worked many hours on it, and I keep telling her than when it’s finally done it will be a labor of love :o) First I worked on the uncensored version, which is like x-rated, and when I finished that, I created a censored version which has the “private” parts blurred out. Kinda like when your watching the news or the show cops when they are blocking out someone’s face. It’s pretty neat. That part was really hard to do because when I was filming I wasn’t just in one place – which made it much harder to block out.
What else…..I feel just peachy this week. A bit tired but that’s ok. It’s labor day weekend and Matt has a 3 1/2 day weekend. Of course we aren’t doing anything as usual. We go places when other people most likely don’t travel!! We always travel on off days and in the off season! I’ll sit back and relax while enjoying my weekend. Sometimes we tackle some sort of home project on long weekends, but we’ve done enough of those this year. We built a closet, put up a retaining wall flower bed in the front, had the porch put on, reworked the gas meter, extended the backyard by tearing out a flower bed, had a spicket moved on the outside of the house, had a new window put in the front, installed a new front door ourselves, and probably a lot more that I can’t think of. And you know what? Not one one of those ideas were pre-planned. Those were all spur of the moment projects. The porch was like planned maybe for a couple weeks at best.
Next year we need siding and a roof, oh, and an awning for our porch as well as rails. After spending like $15,000 in upgrades this year we decided to wait until next year to put more money into the house.
The boys are being wild as usual this week. Not quite stressing me out as much for some reason. I wish Andrew would talk though!! He’s going on 19 months old and says mama, dadda, mimi (cat), and that’s about it. For some reason both Chris and Andrew just don’t want to talk early. His cousin Rachel has an amazing vocabulary and she’s only 4 months older. She’s been talking quite a while. When I take him to the pediatrician the first thing she’ll ask me when I tell her he doesn’t talk is, “Do you think he can hear?”. And my response to that will be, of course. I ask him to do things for me and he does. If he didn’t hear he would turn the t.v. off for me when I tell him too, or to pick up his toys when I tell him too. He’s very intelligent he just doesn’t vocalize yet!
I love my boys! They can be wild but they are so adorable. When Chris is excited about something he tells me, “Woo Hoo!!! I’m boo-cited” then he hoots and hollars.
I’m due to get my other 1st prize win from Kodak sometime soon. That’ll be my 3rd digital camera. I collect digital cameras because I always freak out that one isn’t good enough, so i’ll keep it around until i’m bored with my new one that I just got a couple weeks ago… which by the way, takes excellent pics!! I love kodak cameras. The next one is worth $100 more ($400) than the one I just got because it is a dual-lens camera, so it can take wide angle shots. I’ll post some sample pics that I take when I have a moment.
A little voice inside my head keeps saying it’s time to have another child. I don’t know why, i’m not ready yet. I want that girl so bad, but i’m cursed to have boys boys and more boys. Julie was telling me a couple days ago that I will have twin boys. God strike me down instantly if that happens!! j/k! I was doing Rachel’s hair the other day and it just made me think about having a girl. I need to lose 50 more pounds before I have another kid. Being fat and pregnant is miserable. Well, at least i’m 100lbs less than I was when I had Andrew!!!
