Going good today.

Today I woke up, not quite as good as yesterday but still much better than the other day.  I immediately drank what was left in my apple juice bottle from yesterday, a good 14oz or so of water.  My goal is always to finish what’s left from the day before and finish the days water.  I never count what I eat or drink as far as protein goes during the day as part of my water intake, although it should be counted.

I tried to get back to normal tasks as much as I could today, going as far as even picking Andrew up from school.  When I did that though, I realized still that getting out is still a bit of a challenge and had Matt get Chris from school.  I still did some dishes, vacuumed, and thankfully I have a robot that does my kitchen floors for me!

Tomorrow I will have to go to the grocery store again… not looking forward to it.  When i went a couple days ago I had a real hard time!  I need some more cottage cheese and stuff though.  I am really going to work on getting my protein in from food rather than powder though, I really don’t like protein drinks, even when I jazz them up.  I  mean, my mango smoothie one is awesome and all, but having it daily is a lot. Sure it takes care of my daily protein needs but I have to be in the mood for it.

I think Andrew is coming down with something.  He hasn’t wanted to eat all day and that is odd for him.  He’s usually a very big eater.  He played normally though.  I hope he isn’t getting the flu or the dreaded H1N1.  It wouldn’t surprise me though, that school is a germ incubator.  People send their kids to school with these horrible coughs and stuff and I wonder why.  Anytime my kids are remotely sick they stay home.

Tomorrow is my first post-op appointment.  It’s my one week visit, but it’s more like 1 1/2 weeks.  I think i’ll be down about 10lbs or so from surgery, almost 20 from the start of my liquid diet.  It doesn’t make me feel that great though because it’s just the weight I put on from the moment I found out I was approved until my surgery date!  When I go below 220lbs, which is 10lbs away, then I’ll consider that a miracle because that’s the number i’ve been fighting with for 2 1/2 years.  Only a few more days until pureed foods!! Yay!

Today I had some cottage cheese with black pepper and paprika, my super mango protein shake, and some low sugar maple and brown sugar oatmeal.  Tomorrow will probably be about the same.  I can’t wait until Monday I can have some chicken salad or tuna salad.   I was watching Cleopatra_Nik’s video on Egg Rosettes, and let me tell you, I can’t wait to try those!  She has an awesome blog and her recipes are good!
