Chris' 4th Birthday

Today is my baby’s 4th birthday.  He’s getting to be so big now.  He’s had a good week of birthday surprises.  This Sunday is father’s day… I have no idea what to get from the boys to their dadda.

Matt got a call back from the Pfizer people to meet with them sometime this week.  It’s looking very promising.  He also got some interest from the folks over at ePrize.  If your into sweeping like I am, they run a lot of the major sweepstakes online.  Bad for me though, because then I couldn’t enter their sweeps, and it’s really bad because they run most of my daily sweeps.  Hey, if the pay is good, he’ll take it.  IBM called for him the other day and offered some crazy monkey position for $50/hr…. however, there are no medical benefits so the risks outweigh the pay.  We went through a period of time where we had to buy our insurance and I didn’t like it.

The job opportunities are pouring in right now and Toyota is about to lose a significant employee becuase they are being jackasses.  They came around and told everybody no more overtime.  Although we survive on his base pay just fine, we love the extra money he gets from overtime.  Our lifestyle would decrease significantly.  The #2 auto maker in the world is making cutbacks…. how weird.  Times are good for Toyota, this doesn’t make sense to me.

I think i’m gonna play the mega millions tonight..!!  The unfortunate downside to all of this is that if he does get a new job, that may mean our trip is being postponed.  You can’t start a new job then leave for 2 weeks… it just doesn’t work well.  We’ll see how it comes out.  I’d like to say he’d be in a new job in a month, but who knows.  He plans on giving Toyota no notice, because they’d screwed around with him, his hours, his pay, and benefits so bad… a long story.
