Ok well I take Wellbutrin XL for it’s off label purposes… I use it to assist in weight loss, plus I guess it keeps me happy, yet I don’t notice that much. So I went into the kitchen to take my dose and I couldn’t find my pill holder. I reach in for my sample bottle that the docs gave me a few months ago. I’m thinking to myself the whole time that those pills are 50mg, because the bottle was positioned in a way to where I could only see the 50mg part. Well I took 4 of them, which would = 200mg, and my normal dose is 300. I figured 200 is good enough since it was rather late in the day. Well I go into the kitchen a few minutes later to get some warm apple cider, and I happen to see the pill bottle sitting there and it said 150mg!!! I took 4, which = 600mg, which is double the max. dosage. The risk of seizure is significantly increased after 300mg per day. In fact, that is the biggest side effect at 300mg per day. It’s been a couple hours so far, but these pills are extended release and don’t peak until 5 hours after ingestion. I’m pretty nervous, I don’t think i’ll be able to sleep worrying about it. I’m not going to go to the hospital because it’s a petty overdose. I’ve been reading on the internet where there have been cases of people who took in 30 GRAMS of it. That is 30,000mg and survived to live. Ah well… I’m pretty sure i’ll be ok, but i’m still nervous.
