A big "wow" for me!
Ok this is of no major excitement to anyone else but me…. but I was at the Y sitting in the cafe area, and a lady who’s son went to school with Chris walked up and said, “You are looking good”!! She didn’t know that I had surgery nor did she know anything. This made me feel so good about myself. Someone actually noticed for once!! The funny thing is, it came from someone I least expected. All through the school year she kind of came across as snobby – but she wasn’t that way at all. In fact, she went on to tell me that her husband is a recent gastric bypass patient and that he’s doing well. So at least we have something to share. We went on talking about the sugeries and comparing what can and can’t be eaten.
Ahhhhhhhh.
Anyhow, now that I can pick myself up off the floor a little bit and wipe the dust off… Chris had his 1st swim lesson today. I paid $93 for 5 half hour lessons. It better darn well be worth it!! He did good today. After we watched him swim my sister and I got suited up and went in as well. It was kind of chaotic because the Y day camp was in there at the time and there were tons of little kids.
