We went to Mexican Gardens yesterday (Saturday). We waited like 25 minutes to get a table. This was like the most embarassing thing that has ever happened to me yet as a parent. It was aweful!!! Matt and I went to our booth, which happened to be next to a crowded table (and plenty other people around) and as soon as my butt hits the seat…. i look out of the corner of my eye, and Andrew projectile vomited all over the freaking restaurant… and it wouldn’t stop coming out. Matt’s like holding andrew outward while fountains of vomit are spewing everywhere. I have never had a child vomit like that before. The restaurant went dead silent and I could hear people gagging and coughing, and the poor guy in the booth Andrew was facing was about to vomit. It just kept coming out, and everytime more would come out, i’d hear people making more noise. I kept going “ugh, oh yuck” everytime more came out. I was dead at that point. I died of embarassment!! And it wasn’t just vomit… it was chunky, curdly, large vomit in large quantities. It was so disgusting, and it stank sooo bad. I profuesly apolgozied to everyone around me, and the staff (because we left the chunks on the floor) and quickly headed for the door. I don’t think I can show my face there again for like a while ;o) It was that bad.

After we left though, I died laughing, and called mom and she couldn’t get enough of it. It was great, but I can’t show my face there for a while!!

Well i’ve been going strong for the last 6 weeks and i’m seeing more progress thankfully! I’ve been going to the Y almost every weekday for the past 6 weeks and doing a one hour workout. It’s actually becoming routine, which is a weird feeling. I enjoy doing it, and it allows the boys to get some good quality play time in. I’m down another pant size so that’s cool too. I don’t think i’ll make my goal of 100lbs by July 29th, but I hope I will be close.

Today I stayed pretty bored most of today waiting for the construction people to come. We are having a porch put on. We hired Bogusz Construction here locally. They live right around the corner and work out of their home. They do a lot of local jobs and I frequently seen them working and heard good things. I think they used to work under the table, but I think now they are licensed and insured. They came to our house and initally told us $4000 for a porch that is 19×6 with a decorative brick finish. Then the lady showed up at our house, and we told her that there was a room under the porch. She was like, whoa, wait a second, we’ll have to talk about that one. She said that it could easily up the price by $1000 because of the code in Southgate. Here, you cannot any longer have a room built under a porch, so in order for them to build us a bigger porch, they would have to tear out the old one, then block up and fill in the basement room where it’s located. I started to freak out at this point, and she said she’ll get back with us this evening. Well about 30 minutes later her husband showed up (the main guy) and he was like… “no problem”… in broken english. He told us that he’d do all the work required for $200 more, which is a relief. Now they have to bring a backhoe in and dig up a trench in the front of the house, and block in that room in the basement. So anyway, he was like “we bring crew over Monday and start” and I was like, wait, we won’t have the money until Wednesday, and he said, “don’t matter…. we bring crew on Monday”. So I guess it’s official and work begins Monday. It’s going to be dirty and our house is going to look like crap for a while. All the landscaping is getting pulled out and we’ll have to start fresh.
