Our Trip to South Carolina – March 2023

In late March following the girls’ Spring Break from school, we immediately had to take a pre-planned business trip for Jason to his new campus in South Carolina.  Since January and the girls returning, I have no babysitting options and I wasn’t about to leave them home alone.

So we took a very pleasant 800 mile road trip to Simpsonville, SC.  It was a nice little city and not far from there were gorgeous waterfalls, foothills, and small mountains.  It’s not far from Asheville, NC.

I can’t say this was a “fun” trip because we were stuck in the hotel most of the time but one of the days I did drive the girls to Table Rock State Park for some small hiking and waterfalls.

They really enjoyed that and we followed that with a trip to the Greenville, SC Defy location so they could bounce off some energy!

On the way home we stopped at that Ridiculous Buc-ee’s truck stop which is a huge ass tourist trip and trapped us getting souvenirs, brisket sandwiches and beef jerky, lol.
