Well Im now coasting into the 2nd trimester! I’m now at about 13 weeks, and so far things seem to be going well. I had my 3rd doctor’s appointment yesterday, and that went well. The doctor couldn’t find the heartbeat with his Doppler, so he’s sending me for ANOTHER ultrasound today!!! I’m so excited…. why? Because I know the baby is just fine. I have my own Doppler, and it takes a good 2-3 minutes to find it. I checked this morning, just to be on the safe side! The baby is so low in my pelvic bone, that if you don’t take the time to find it, you won’t. The doc spends like 30 seconds trying to find it. I’m very happy I get to have another look and more pictures. Gender can be determined as early as 13 weeks, but Im not counting my chickens before they hatch of course! It would be nice to know though…. if not today, it will be in 7 weeks!
School is going great. Last week in math class we had “flashback to fractions”… and it was horrible. I thought Id never figure it out…. but you know what, I think I did. Fractions have always been my bad point in math… however, they are vital to understanding algebra. I think Im doing well. Our first test is in a week, and Ill have Matt write me a practice quiz of a few questions from each section.
My doctor and I discussed the possibility of being an OB/GYN…. I don’t know about that. That takes a lot of brains and money. He says I would make a good one, because I read and research a lot. My options are endless, but it all depends on how I do in my first two years of college!
